A woman unravels quietly on a green couch, grief-laced, gold-adorned, and weighed down by her own orbit. Between spilled wine, incense ash, and old records, she finally rises. Still mourning, still spiraling, but dancing anyway.
“Me Time” is a portrait of sacred avoidance, of ritual turned resistance. Somewhere between rage, sadness and acceptance, she finds movement again as she listens to Asha Puthli.
The original piece was drawn entirely by hand on red wine stained paper infused with rose, lavender, and homemade chai, this piece opens the emotional portal that will eventually become the mythos of Lyla & The Cosmic Entity. The first piece in the collection, this is a staple in a building art collection for anyone interested in laissez-faire art.
