AN IMMERSIVE WORLD…
LYLA AND THE COSMIC ENTITY
Lyla & the Cosmic Entity is part of a larger story I'm shaping throughout this multimedia collection. The caption's stitch haiku I wrote, small clues meant to help you piece together Lyla's world as you move through the piece. Except for "her roots never die" which is a reoccurring phrase in my pieces.
You'1l notice a lot of repeating symbols across the collection: eyes, spirals, old photos, shoes, records, and Lyla's version of "self-care", some comforting, some a little self destructive. In this piece, those threads meet. Lyla wakes up, journals her solar and mental observations, and keeps ignoring a pink alert flashing through the cabin (pink because her astronaut suit is pink, obviously).
Eventually, she can't avoid the problem anymore. The Entity she's been brushing off mirrors the same theme of avoidance woven throughout the whole series, something watching her everywhere she goes, even out in space. She can't escape the problem she refuses to confront.
This piece is where those scattered clues in my collection start aligning, pulling you deeper into Lyla's story as you move through the rest of the upcoming media.

Lyla remember, her nostalgia a tremor, her mind condemns her.

She wakes to the hum, drifting where no voices come, the entities drum. It watches, she knows, in her fear, a comfort grows, where its presence flows. It hums through the steel, whispers soft enough to feel, fear and peace made real. Though dread starts to bloom, she still drifts in starlit gloom, wonder makes her bloom.

She moves through her tasks, alien flowers in bloom, her peace made to last. Dog Hums, warnings clear, but she shields herself in care, refusing to hear. with each mask she makes, she buries what she wont face, her calm starts to break. she crushes the pink, lotus petals start to sink, blues eyes blink than wink.

Kajul lines her eyes, lip gloss shines, a soft disguise, she guards with soft lies, her roots never die.

Dog has seen this game, Silks and shoes to diodge the flame, lyla plays the same. she slips on her heels, jewels and gloss her only shields, she hides what she feels. spirals twist and flash, red and black across the glass, dog must break her trance.
